Hamilton, Canada
Persons with hemophilia (PWH) experience bone disease issues like low bone mineral density and osteoporosis. Germini, M.D., Ph.D., presents information comparing the incidence of bone fractures in PWH and people with no bleeding disorders in addition to identifying the risk factors associated with bone fractures in PWH. The presentation will discuss findings of a retrospective, case-control study to ultimately highlight the increased risk of bone fractures than in the general population.
